Public Relations Manager - Planet Interactive

Location: New York
Salary: $170,000 - $190,000; Annually (DOE) 

Planet Interactive's New York based Law Firm is seeking a full-time Public Relations Manager up to 8 years experience in public relations, marketing, communications, or a related field to join the corporate communications team. 

Public Relations Manager Responsibilities: 

• Work closely with the Business Development and Communications teams to own and oversee conference participation, including sponsorships and speaking, and ensure activity is in-line with the firm’s and individual attorneys’ BD and visibility strategies
• Own relationships with key conference organizers in the legal industry and our key client industries (finance, tech, private equity, etc.)
• Ensure that all of the moving parts associated with conferences are handled, working with other teams/departments as appropriate
• Mentor and oversee a junior team member

Public Relations Manager Qualifications: 

• Degree in journalism, communications, marketing, English or a related field
• Experience working with financial or professional services firms is preferred (either in an in-house or agency setting)
• Strong organizational/project management skills and proven ability to hit deadlines
• Experience managing or supervising others on projects
• Experience collaborating with and presenting to senior executives/attorneys
