Are you an experienced tax professional looking for a role where your expertise will truly make an impact? We’re seeking a skilled Public Utility Accountant to join our team, supporting a range of federal, state, and local tax compliance activities.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and review assigned income tax returns, payments, and accruals, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal procedures
• Compile information for financial statements and regulatory filings
• Prepare responses for both internal and external audits on financial statements, tax returns, and internal controls
• Conduct research on tax, accounting, and business matters to provide strategic recommendations
• Lead and coordinate special projects, including tax analysis for acquisitions, divestitures, and business growth opportunities
• Assist in sharing updates on emerging tax issues
• Recommend and implement improvements in tax data gathering and filing processes

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience or 4+ years in public utility accounting
• Oil and gas accounting, tax accounting or CPA license is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP software
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
