We have an immediate opening on the 1 st shift for a Pump Technician Specialist in the South Carolina location.
The hourly pay range is from $22.00 -$28.50 (DOE)

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Positions parts according to the knowledge of the unit being assembled, following blueprints and/or work instructions.
- Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners. Fit the parts to very close tolerances and operating requirements involving filing, scraping of bearings, and flat surfaces.
- Presses shaft into parts fit keys aligns and drills mating parts, drills, and reams for dowel pins.
- Mounts and connects auxiliary, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic equipment, cuts and fits pipe and tubing.
- Makes operating tests and final adjustments.
- Reads production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.
- Loads and unloads trucks and freight cars, moving merchandise to the specified area in the warehouse. Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
- Get the pump ready for painting by cleaning grease and dirt from the product. Applies masking tape or other means over parts and areas that are not to be coated.
- Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce the desired color per work order or instructions. Uses various types of equipment to apply coating. Cleans and maintains equipment using appropriate methods
- Build and secure wooden crates, shipping containers, and other packaging
- Assist in the design and implementation of best practices and processes for shipping operations
- Work with team leaders to schedule and anticipate the shipping needs for production
- Prepare shipments according to shipping requirements. Assemble and check orders, pack and crate, label.
- Complete and maintain required paperwork and inventory transactions, if needed
- Using Shipping Checklists or other documentation, ensure Customer orders are shipped complete and components are securely placed in packaging material
- Communicate with supervisors, leads, and other operations personnel about inventory, materials, and discrepancies.
- Uses hand tools, air tools, hydra tools, and measuring devices.
- Able to operate forklifts and other lifting devices.
- Follow all safety precautions and practices for safe working habits. Reports all unsafe conditions and injuries to the supervisor immediately.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Mechanical aptitude and mechanical experience are required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
