YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
As our full-time Purchasing Agent - Buyer, you'll be at the heart of our supply chain management. This buying role will involve soliciting bids, evaluating quotations, and selecting or recommending suppliers, all while ensuring the best balance between cost, quality, and specifications. You'll be responsible for procuring complex or custom items at optimal prices and coordinating their timely delivery. Your tasks will also include preparing and reviewing purchase orders, maintaining accurate MRP system data, and ensuring a continuous flow of materials by providing necessary follow-ups. Additionally, you'll handle non-conformance reports (NCRs) for any defective purchases. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining our high standards and driving our innovative efforts forward!
THE PURCHASING AGENT - BUYER THAT WE SEEK
We're looking for a buying expert who can meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field OR 8 years of equivalent training or experience
- 2+ years of experience in a buying / purchasing role
- Experience negotiating contracts and pricing
