Purchasing Agent
Position Purpose:
The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for supporting all tasks within the purchasing department, including building relationships with trade partners to better position the company both internally and externally, managing information in Brix, bidding new plans, supporting operations in the field, and assisting in permitting and the starts process.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for maintaining and supporting specific trades, including, but not limited to, bidding, analyzing, and finalizing costs.
· Supporting the implementation of various procedures across the company.
· Implementing new procedures and tools to ensure accuracy and compliance.
· Rationalizing existing data for more efficient methods.
· Execute various aspects of the new job starts process to include preliminary budget review, building change orders, building design packets, permitting jobs, etc.
· Special projects as required.
Qualifications:
· Minimum one year of experience in home building industry is required.
· Strong computer skills with an extremely high emphasis on Excel.
· Detail-oriented and organized
· Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines.
· Ability to review and manage mass amount of data.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· BRIX experience is preferred.
· 4-year college degree preferred, but not required.
