About the Job
Job Summary: As a Purchaser at our clients company, you will be responsible for procuring materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for their printing operations. You will play a critical role in managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of quality products at competitive prices.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Source and procure materials, supplies, and equipment required for printing production, including paper, ink, chemicals, and machinery parts.
- Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate contracts and pricing terms to secure the best value for the company.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, including purchase orders, contracts, and vendor agreements.
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed to support production schedules and minimize shortages.
- Collaborate with production, warehouse, and finance departments to forecast demand, plan procurement activities, and optimize inventory levels.
- Resolve supplier issues, such as late deliveries, quality concerns, or pricing discrepancies, in a timely and efficient manner.
- Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and new product offerings to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve purchasing strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to purchasing and procurement activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in the purchasing process.
- Ensure that purchasing documents are complete and accurate and include appropriate and reasonable terms and conditions.
- Maintain pricing histories and other vendor records.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven negotiation skills.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of purchasing procedures and policies.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Operate and understand workflow software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in a related field is highly preferred.
- At least two years of experience in purchasing in the printing industry is required.
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the printing industry or a related field.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine purchasing needs.
