AKT is looking for an incredibly detail and process oriented individual to join our purchasing department. If people describe you as a "numbers person" or you're a self-proclaimed spreadsheet genius, this is the job for you!
You'll spend your days ordering wholesale garments from our various distributors, coordinating with custom apparel and accessory sources to fulfill client orders, and communicating with our various internal departments.
We're looking for a confident trouble-shooter who is able to quickly identify, analyze, and solve problems in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.
The preferred team member will be an lively, organized and reliable individual with the ability to work in an orderly and effective manner as well as exhibit unprecedented attention to detail.
Employee responsibilities consist of (but not limited to):
- Providing pricing quotes for assigned promotional productions and decorated garments to sales team
- Processing sales orders with respective vendors for promotional products and decorated garments
- Collaborate with vendors to source unique and quality products that fit our clients needs
- Staying organized and updated on the order status / tracking of orders placed to meet clients deadlines.
- Work quickly and efficiently while staying organized and being a resource
- Lots of constant necessary communication in person, on the phone and via email
When you're first brought on board, you'll immediately jump into:
- Price-shopping our distributors for the best deal on blank garments
- Recording purchase costs, vendors, and tracking details
- Verifying item pricing for maximum profitability
- Communicating pricing issues/concerns to account reps and their manager
- Facilitating product returns / RMAs to distributors
Skills Required
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Positive attitude & team oriented
- Strong time management skills
- Having basic knowledge of Google Sheets/ Excel.
- Having basic knowledge of Email formatting and etiquette
- Purchasing experience is preferred but not required
