POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for a Purchasing Supervisor to join our Purchasing team! The Purchasing Supervisor administers and directs program to purchase materials, supplies, and equipment. Reviews requests for equipment, supplies, and other items to assure compliance with purchasing policies and specifications. Reviews catalog and other source material to obtain information on items for purchase. Interviews vendors, reviews catalog and other source material to obtain information on items for purchase. Compares prices, specifications and delivery dates and ensures fair and reasonable agreements. Conducts purchase order process for special order items and capital equipment. Assists with the receiving, storing, and issuing purchased items. Supports Purchasing Agent by obtaining quotes, stocking, and provide back up to Purchasing agent.
* This position is Full Time, 80 hours every 2 weeks *
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two-Year Associate Degree (or high school diploma or GED) and five years related experience required.
- Have knowledge in inventory control and materials management.
- Basic knowledge of computers.
- Current driver's license.
- Must have a strong mathematical aptitude.
- Must be able to produce and complete accurate work.
- Must have good written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and work well under pressure.
- Must have a neat appearance and pleasant personality, with the ability to deal with a variety of constituents.
