Research Scientist II, Analytical - Iambic Therapeutics, Inc.

JOB SUMMARY

We seek experienced and creative analytical chemists with a proven track record of success in drug discovery or related areas, to join an intensely collaborative, multidisciplinary, team-based setting at Iambic Therapeutics. The role will work closely with in house medicinal chemistry and biology teams to generate critical analytical endpoints especially high throughput QC and purification to enable AI-driven molecular generation, property predictions, and bioassay data generation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop analytical methods for the identification, separation, and purification of small molecules from chemical reactions
• Analyze samples utilizing UPLC, SFC-UV-MS, and perform high throughput QC of chemical reactions
• Purify products from chemical reactions using mass-directed SFC and LC techniques
• Support automation and high throughput technology development for companywide HTE platform

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in science majors plus at least 5-year relevant analytical industry experience (or BS with 10+ years industry experience) is required, analytical chemistry background is preferred. 
• Extensive experience in SFC- or LC-MS or purification operations, as well as a good understanding of current analytical or bioanalytical techniques, is required.  
• Experience with high throughput experimentation, Agilent LC/MS systems (1290 series pumps, and fraction collector etc.), or Shimazu SFC system (Nexera series)  is a plus, so is experience in maintaining and troubleshooting of model analytical instruments
• Ability to multi-task and good time management skills needed
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, and must be highly motivated, organized, productive, detail- and team- oriented.
