Job Description

Consultant Deliverables

The consultant will work with management, business users and IT to add or enhance functionality based on business requirements, production support, application testing, debugging programs as required, finding required resolutions for issues on hand, troubleshooting programs, code tuning, and program modifications where necessary.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work independently on complex projects with minimal supervision required
• Excellent oral and written business communication skills
• Familiarity with agile development and project management practices, elicitation of user requirements and development of user stories
• Mass transit experience preferable but not required
• Commanding knowledge of Python, Django, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS (5+ years hands-on experience); experience with Java a plus but not required
• Experience with PostgreSQL and PostGIS
• Familiarity with GIS concepts helpful
• Comfort using Git for version control
• Familiarity with Linux system administration (RHEL or SLES preferred)
• Familiarity with Docker application containerization a plus
