Python Developer (Risk & Trading) Only W2 (Citizen, GC, GC EAD and H4EAD)
Location: New York City, NY (Onsite preferred, New Jersey acceptable)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Work Authorization: W2 Candidates Only
Years of Experience: 10+ years
Must-Have Skills:
- Python: Expert-level proficiency in Python programming.
- Quartz: Experience with the Quartz job scheduling library for managing and executing scheduled tasks.
- Object-Oriented Programming (OOP): 5+ years of experience with OOP concepts and their application in enterprise risk systems development within a large financial institution.
- Interest Rate Products: Solid understanding of interest rate products (Swaps, Bonds, Futures) and their valuation and risk quantification methodologies.
- Data Analysis: Experience using analytical libraries to process trade and market data for risk and P&L calculations.
- Business-Facing Projects: Proven track record working on projects related to trading and/or market risk that directly impact business operations.
- Risk Management: Experience in developing risk batches and understanding of distribution techniques and optimization.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive approach and strong troubleshooting skills.
Desired Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field (Master's degree preferred).
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications for risk management and trading systems.
- Implement Quartz for scheduling and automating batch processes.
- Analyze trade and market data using Python libraries to generate risk and P&L metrics.
- Collaborate with business users to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Optimize code and processes for performance and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to risk and trading systems.
