What You’ll Be Doing:
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will work closely with a scrum team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, bug-free code. The QA Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with the development team to resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new and existing features.
+ Perform manual and automated testing to identify defects and ensure the quality of the codebase.
+ Collaborate with backend and frontend engineers to understand project requirements and design effective test strategies.
+ Identify, document, and track defects using a bug tracking system.
+ Work closely with the development team to reproduce and resolve issues.
+ Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on quality and testability.
+ Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance the overall quality of the product.
+ Ensure that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Required and Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ 2 or more years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or similar role.
+ Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle as well as testing and Agile methodologies.
+ Proficiency in manual and automated testing tools and frameworks.
+ Experience with bug tracking systems and version control systems.
+ Experience as a proactive problem-solver.
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills.
+ Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is preferred.
+ Experience in specific technologies such as Java, Python, JavaScript, Typescript, Postman, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, and SQL is preferred.
+ Experience with performance and security testing is preferred.
Tools and Technologies:
+ Testing Tools: Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Postman, and JIRA.
+ Automation Frameworks: Cypress, Appium, and Robot Framework.
+ CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, and CircleCI.
+ Version Control Systems: Git and Bitbucket.
+ Programming Languages: Java, Python, and JavaScript.
+ Performance Testing Tools: JMeter and LoadRunner.
+ Security Testing Tools: OWASP ZAP and Burp Suite.
Technical Requirements:
We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.

The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $100,000 - 115,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
