QA CNA - Alaris Health at Belgrove

Alaris Health at Belgrove, a 120 bed-skilled nursing facility in Kearny, NJ, seeks a quality assurance certified nursing assistant (QA CNA). The QA CNA performs various resident care activities and related clerical services essential to caring for personal needs and comfort of residents. His/her function may not exceed Standards of Practice as accorded by certification. The QA Nursing Assistant will play an important role in assuring that quality resident care compliance with governmental regulations and adherence to policies. They assist professional nursing staff by performing assigned routine duties in caring for residents The QA Nursing Assistant Coordinator is supervised by a professionally licensed nurse.

QA CNA JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• attends Nursing and Quality Improvement meetings on a quarterly, or as needed basis to provide input from the nursing assistant perspective;
• Assists charge nurse in monitoring restorative care and other clinical programs, i.e., bowel and bladder;
• Prepares new admission chart for the unit and initiates forms in preparation for admission;
• Conducts periodic resident care and unit checks with appropriate documentation, along with charge nurse;
• Ensuring that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere that recognizes each individual’s needs and rights

QA CNA JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be currently certified as a nursing assistant in NJ.
• Required to attend 12 hours of in-service training per year as per New Jersey State Regulations to maintain certification.
• Full command of the English language (written, read and spoken)
• Possess a positive demeanor and the ability to communicate with everyone from residents to the general public
