- They need to be able to test as they go, help the dev teams with active testing. Work hand in hand with developers
Tech used: Ansible for automation testing, use test rail, jira and Client products
- 5-7+ years of experience as an SDET designing, building, and maintaining QA automation around traditional client server products.
- Proven experience in QA automation and software testing.
- Proficiency in Python (required), Java, and scripting languages for test automation.
- Excellent understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience using test automation frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Robot Framework, etc.
- Experience with network automation and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with Ansible Automation Platform or similar tools is a plus.
- Experience with API testing is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in an Agile development environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal processes, limited guidance, and focused on productivity.
- Familiar with Test Management Tools, such as TestRail, and Project Management tools such as JIRA.
- Comfortable with various operation systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS.
- Experience providing and maintaining complex, automated regression tests.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot software and network issues logically
- Develop and implement manual and automated test cases/suites creating comprehensive test coverage.
- Collaborate with scrum members and cross-functional teams to design test strategies and plans.
- Execute and analyze automated tests, identifying and documenting defects.
- Test defect fixes and new functionality as required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing process and methodologies.
- Testing on-prem Forescout solution software suite along with third party devices including:
- Network/Switch devices
- Endpoint compliance
- Software integrations
- Design, develop and maintain manual and automated test suites
- Analyze and report defects on software to improve conformance, stability, and supportability
- Execute end-to-end-testing (manual/automated), integration testing, sanity testing and creating documents, use-cases, design and other technical documents.
- Test defect fixes and new functionality as required
- Work closely with product, development, and other quality assurance engineers on testing processes and execution.
- Translate system requirements and specs to test cases
Professional Skills:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in software quality assurance in network and endpoint security
- Experience testing network security product like firewall, intrusion prevention systems, and SIEM solution, are highly desirable
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, and or HPE network devices is recommended.
- Hands-on experience with Linux, Python, SQL and database with working knowledge of Java a plus
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot software and network issues logically and analytically.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Skilled in troubleshooting and debugging techniques
- Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM is recommended.
- Experience with automation platforms and script development recommended
- Networking:
- Good understanding of TCP/IP
- Knowledge in protocols (DNS, SMTP, SNMP, DHCP, 802.1 x)
- Familiar with network equipment configuration (Switch, Router)
- Windows-based networks with domain management a plus
- Low-level network monitoring and sniffing (sniffers experience)
