Overview:
Our client is modernizing its Liquified Natural Gas Facility
The modernization project consists of five (5) projects that will be bundled together to have one contractor perform the engineering, procure materials, and construct
The Project Mechanical Field Engineer will provide technical expertise during design reviews and construction.
Responsibilities
Review and comment on drawings, specifications, and all other technical documents developed by engineering and equipment vendors for the project against Code and Client Company requirements.
Review and comment on Request for Information (RFIs)/Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) documents for the clarification, resolution, and documentation of potential/actual changes that occur to the design of the facility.
Perform construction quality assurance inspections of mechanical systems.
Monitor contractor operations and verify conformance with project plans and specifications.
Serve as the on-site inspector for construction work the contractor and sub-contractors perform.
Interact with the construction contractor's site supervision on field activities to ensure compliance with the construction contract requirement.
Provide daily inspection reports and coordinate code compliance and commissioning requirements.
Assist with resolving job site technical issues encountered during the execution of the project and report issues to Client Company Engineering.
Produce up-to-date record copy drawings (red lines)
Assist Engineering with QA/QC, Commissioning/Start-up, and defining the completion systems/subsystems.
Assists in completing system turnovers by leading walk-downs, generating punch list items, etc.
Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in Process, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
A minimum of 10 years of field experience, with average experience of 15+ years
5 years of experience engineering of LNG or Power or Oil and Gas plants preferred
1-2 years experience with EPC contracts
Experience in planning and coordination of plant shutdown activities preferred
Experience in a cross-disciplined engineering/operational role preferred
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize
Establish and maintain effective relationships with external and internal customers
