About the Job
As the QA/QC Supervisor, you will oversee the implementation and adherence
to ICM's Quality Management System (QMS) on our construction sites.
You'll work closely with project managers, superintendents, engineers,
foremen, and craftsmen to ensure that all work performed aligns with the
highest quality standards and meets project specifications.
What You'll Do:
Lead the Quality Mission: Plan and implement quality policies and procedures
in compliance with ICM's QMS, driving a culture of quality across all
teams and projects.
Training & Development: Train managers and team members on quality work
practices, ensuring they understand and complete the required documentation
for every project. You'll be the go-to person for helping our people work
smarter and more efficiently.
Inspections & Audits: Conduct inspections and audits of construction
activities to ensure compliance with project documents and specifications,
ensuring every step is done right the first time.
Documentation Oversight: Review and audit documentation to confirm accuracy
and completeness. When things aren't right, you'll implement corrective
actions quickly and efficiently.
Custom Quality Plans: Develop project-specific quality manuals and
inspection/test plans that set the standard for how each project is executed.
Preventative Action: Identify areas of concern before they become issues,
and follow up on corrective measures to ensure they've been effectively
implemented.
Non-Conformance Management: Take charge when non-conformance issues arise,
offering solutions through staff training, reassignment, or enhanced
procedures
Support the Field: Provide the team with necessary materials project
specifications, codes, standards to help them stay on top of potential issues.
Problem-Solving Leader: Lead investigations into Non-Conformance Reports
(NCRs), Corrective Action Requests (CARs), and audits to ensure
adherence to project specifications and ICM's quality standards.
Clear Communication: Ensure that all NCRs and CARs are reported on the same
day of occurrence and communicate directly with the QA/QC Director and
Executive Management.
Quality Alerts & Reporting: Generate quality alerts to ensure the entire
team is informed of critical issues and updates.
3rd Party Coordination: Accompany third-party verification experts,
inspectors, and auditors on walk-through tours to ensure we're always
audit-rea
Team Player: Attend Pre-Construction and weekly production meetings,
working with the team to ensure adherence to the QMS, contract documents,
and specifications.
Leadership in Quality Meetings: Lead the QA/QC session in our Friday
meetings, and participate in Monthly Executive Quality Meetings to keep all
levels of the organization aligned.
Who You Are: A Quality Advocate with a Sharp Eye for Detail
You are more than a supervisor you're a proactive leader who takes pride
in ensuring every detail of a project is executed to perfection. You have
experience across key areas like welding, bolting, concrete, and
piping, and you understand the intricacies of construction quality standards.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in each of the following areas:
Welding (inspection or application)
Bolting (inspection or application)
Concrete (inspection or application)
Piping (inspection or application)
Project Scope Knowledge: You're comfortable with every aspect of a
construction project and have the organizational skills to manage paperwork
efficiently.
Blueprint Reading: You know your way around blueprints and can interpret
them effectively.
Codes & Standards: Familiarity with ACI, AWS, and ASME codes is a huge plus.
Tech-Savvy: Proficient with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Acrobat to
keep track of and manage quality documentation.
Certifications Preferred:
ACI certifications
AWS certifications
ASME certification
