QA Specialist at The Planet Group

Location: Remote, working PST hours
Schedule: 8am to 5pm PST
Pay: Up to $25.55/hour DOE

Planet Interactive is looking for a QA Specialist to join our well known Fortune 500 client on a 12-month contract. This role will work 40 hours per week and will require this person to work a fully remote schedule from 8am to 5pm PST. This role will focus on performing in-house annotation tasks that are a part of the QA process.
 
QA Specialist Responsibilities: 

• Annotating, categorizing, and checking quality of annotated data (including text).
• Annotating projects that include classification, segmentation (polygons or Photoshop-based matting), drawing bounding boxes around zones of interest, and subjective reaction to a visual asset.
• Providing feedback on observed trends in the dataset. 
• Comprehending the overall purpose of an annotation task based on guidelines and supporting examples.
• Ability to perform repeating annotation tasks with consistency, quality, and speed.
• Ability to recognize differences between images and flag them through the annotation process.
• Delivering multiple projects of varying lengths, while meeting quality standards and deadlines.

QA Specialist Qualifications:

• 2+ years in a professional environment with much of that time in a data annotation/quality assurance role.
• Degree in English Literature or associated field.
• Native English speaker with excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Superior time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly-demanding, constantly changing environment
• Self-motivating with the ability to work independently and with little supervision.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Successfully meets or exceeds targets, working within tight deadlines.
