QA Supervisor:
Responsible for overseeing the inspecting and monitoring of Food safety and Quality systems in all plant processes to ensure that ingredients, in-process items and finished products meet food safety and quality specifications in compliance with company’s HACCP Plans. Must be able to complete all paperwork in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.:
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Science or related field. 3-5 years of food manufacturing experience preferred. Knowledge of the following is desirable: Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety and Security principles, HACCP, SQF, PCQI and FSMA requirements. Must be HACCP certified and bilingual English – Spanish a plus.
Skills Required: Computer knowledgeable in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Familiar with measuring physical testing devices.
Must be willing to work in a team-based environment.
Interpersonal Skills: Focuses on solving conflict; Maintains confidentiality; Listens to others.
Equipment Skills: Employee should be able to use caliper and temperature thermometers.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described in here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to move or lift merchandise; cold environment (picking food items from the refrigeration rooms/freezer). The noise level in the work environment may be within the safe range (less than 90 decibels).

Must be able to complete all paperwork in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.:
- Monitor all HACCP documentation for completeness for in house allergen or microbiological testing, PH, refractive index, etc.
- Participate conducting Food Safety and GMP’s Inspections
- Maintain HACCP plans record keeping
- Ensure Preventive Controls are up to date and fully implemented in the plant
- Verify and document product quality attributes
- Verify process Cooking and Cooling Temperatures
- Monitor for completeness of pre-operational inspections, packaging, and labeling process
- Assist production with quality issues
- Coordinate to develop and maintain document control system
- Coordinate Management of Change Control System
- Maintain Finish Product specification sheets and the Food Safety and Quality Manual
- Other duties may be assigned

- Employee must be able to bend, stretch, reach and/or grab products as needed out of pallet or storage racks in dry area, the Cooler & Freezer and from shipping & receiving pallets.
- Must be able to lift packages up to 40 – 50 lbs. of weight and is required to walk/stand time to time in plant floor.
- Specific vision requirements include close, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Employee is required to use all Safety devices to perform the duties in a safely manner.
