$16.00 to start $17.25 after QA Tech II training completed (Generally takes 60 - 90 days to complete)
POSITION SUMMARY
Quality Technicians are responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of products produced from the receiving to shipping. They are responsible for monitoring Good Manufacturing Practices & facility temperatures, performing process checks & facility inspections, and embodying DNO’s stringent food safety & quality standards.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
- Product weight checks
- Environmental temperature monitoring
- Sanitizer station testing
- Effective communication – written and verbal
- Metal detector operational testing
- Package integrity monitoring
- Pre-shift inspections
- Oversees GMP compliance
- Other related tasks as assigned
- Tech I’s are expected to begin training into a Tech II role at or before 90 days of employment
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Knowledge:
- Quality Technician – Tech I training will be provided in-house upon hire
Skills/Abilities:
- Smart Phone/Tablet Competency
- Ability to work within a multi-department team
- Able to work weekends
- Standing/walking for the duration of the shift minus breaks
- Typical reaching, lifting, & bending
- Bilingual a plus
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
Talking: Talking: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Average Hearing: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
Average Visual Abilities: Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery.
Physical Strength: Exert up to, but not more than, 40 lbs. Any weight that exceeds 40 lbs. must be done as a team.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Variable inside temperatures, including extreme cold (temperatures at about 32 degrees).
MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
Reasoning Abilities: Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization. Able to interpret various instructions.
Mathematics Ability: Ability to perform basic math skills.
Language Ability: Able to read and write a variety of printed and digital documents in English using proper punctuation, spelling, and grammar. Clear and effective verbal communication in English.
