Responsibilities
This position is in the QA Technician organization based out of West Greenwich, Rhode Island, collaborating with the Quality Engineering Manager.
+ Audits and reviews documentation, processes, and procedures for conformance to ISO 9000 standards. Also coordinates campus equipment calibration cycles for the Quality Engineering group.
+ Ability to read Engineering specifications for dimensional and functional first article inspections per product documentation on old and new material for conformance.
+ Verifies quality workmanship standards on various components and assemblies, including the verification of bills of materials (BOMs).
+ Reviews and investigates nonconforming material from various sources, documenting and resolving any issues across global locations.
+ Evaluates and communicates any non-conformances to the relevant personnel and management, detailing the issues on designated forms and within the SAP system.
+ Analyzes data to aid in making long-term procedural decisions, including reviewing department-owned practices, policies, and procedures.
+ Handles rejected/nonconforming material transactions in SAP, assessing severity and determining part disposition, impacting production schedules.
+ The perfect candidate should understand manufacturing techniques, parts, materials, and Quality fundamentals like zero-defects and LEAN principles. They should also know how to use measuring tools/gauges and small hand tools accurately.
+ Adequate familiarity with basic Quality & Manufacturing principles and terminology, Microsoft Office skills including Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook, and the ability to read schematics to check parts for conformity and research ISO clauses for accurate, compliance are important.
+ In this role, the successful candidate’s primary objectives include auditing, incoming inspection, reviewing, and investigating materials made to IGT specifications. The candidate will also drive the resolution and prevention of non-conforming materials throughout IGT and its strategic suppliers.
+ Strong communication and writing skills required. Proficiency in SAP, Enovia, and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel) essential. Must thrive in a fast-paced, efficient work environment. Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple teams is essential.
+ Additionally, having basic and fundamental knowledge in electronics and the ability to read Engineering blueprints, specifications, and electronic schematics are required.

Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION
+ High School Graduate or Equivalent Experience Required.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
+ Associate’s degree
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
+ 2+ Years in a Manufacturing environment.
+ 2+ Years in a Quality Assurance environment.
+ Knowledge of IGT products, standard business practices, and ISO 9000 standards is a bonus.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
+ 2+ Years in a Quality Assurance environment.
+ 2+ Years providing Electronic Technician support
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

The estimated starting compensation range is $$43,680 - $68,037_ _. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable._
