Description:
Sr Tester for a state-wide implementation of an Electronic Medical Record System. This engagement requires that CGI develop and support a coordinated, comprehensive community-based mental health system throughout state operated facilities across NYS. Our client is undertaking this enterprise implementation to improve tracking of individuals' medical records; improve the flow of EMR data among facilities and gain efficiencies and effectiveness of their overall health services. CGI is seeking dedicated professionals for this exciting and challenging opportunity in a variety of IT service areas.
Senior QA Tester
This person will help support the quality management process across the project. The quality assurance tester will work alongside Project Managers to help implement quality and testing processes, including, but not limited to unit testing, integration/system testing, user acceptance testing, and specific time-based deliverables associated with this testing. The Senior QA Tester will conduct reviews of records which include: Admission/Discharge chart reviews, focused reviews, and Clinical Pertinence reviews.
The mandatory/essential skills include:
• Must be capable of developing plans, cases and scripts to test applications. This includes experience conducting code quality and unit testing, and evaluating and reporting results.
• Candidate should have a strong fundamental grasp of testing procedures and systems development life cycle processes.
• Must be able to test various components as they become available in development and migrate to a Quality Assurance platform for unit, system and regression testing.
• Candidate must be able to perform Quality Assurance activities, including: Writing and executing test scenarios and User Acceptance Test (UAT) scripts to ensure that the OMH's business, functional and technical requirements for the OMH EMR are met, and perform defect tracking and remediation.
• 5 years experience developing test cases, regression testing, and evaluating test results using automated test tools to manage test scripts, defects and test execution.
• 5 years experience testing browser based applications.
The following skills are desirable:
• Experience as a tester within a formal test process
• Experience in application development, business analysis or testing in a Public Sector enterprise
• Experience conducting software testing using IBM/Rational Tools – Requisite Pro, Clear Case, Clear Quest, Test Manager and Functional Tester, or Client Quality Center.
• Experience analyzing business analysis work products including workflows, requirements specifications, data specifications, translation tables
• Experience conducting data analysis (light SQL may be required to support data analysis), ability to test across multiple platforms (such as Web browser, Windows, Unix/Linux)
• Experience in reporting QA metrics
• Strong proficiency using MS-Office Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
