QA Tester w/ developing of test procedures, defect tracking and Unix/Linux

- Must have experience with the development of test procedures, test tools, and automated testing methodology.
- Must have experience in the use of defect tracking systems such as Jira, Bugzilla or similar
- Knowledge and/or experience with consumer devices such as Smart TVs and streaming platforms
- Knowledge and experience in Unix/Linux is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Review design specifications, user stories, and UI/UX design documents to develop integration and test suites for services and products being developed.
- Develop comprehensive end to end test suites to ensure that new services and products are adequately tested for integration and future deployments.
- Develop automated tests as member of an agile team.
- Execute test suites against services and products developed to ensure that they meet the highest quality, standards and are stable for future planned deployments to customers.
- Provide succinct and accurate test results and defects into our integrated defect tracking system.
- Develop and review operational support processes for new products and services tested.
- Evaluate services to identify operational, performance, and feature enhancements.
- Configure, maintain, and update cable system infrastructure systems to include, the conditional access system, billing systems, business management systems, advertising insertion devices, and video on demand servers.
- Work jointly with the development and lab support teams to identify and resolve issues.
- Extended and flexible work schedule is a requirement of the job.
- Provide Tier 3 Support for Services and Products as the need arises.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned, relating to system integration and testing of new services and products.
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with a concentration in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience of two to four years of cable services and products testing experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have experience with the development of test procedures, test tools, and automated testing methodology.
- Must have experience in the use of defect tracking systems such as Jira, Bugzilla or similar
- Experience with browser applications such as Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome and Safari
- Knowledge of Windows and Macintosh operation systems
- Knowledge and/or experience with consumer devices, such as iOS and Android smart phones and tablets
- Knowledge and/or experience with consumer devices such as Smart TVs and streaming platforms
- Must have experience troubleshooting complex systems using test tools, network management systems and error reporting systems to determine and resolve problems.
- Knowledge and experience in Unix/Linux is a must.
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills is a must
- Excellent organizational skills is a must
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Charles Proxy, Firebug and similar web debuggers
- Knowledge of TWCTV applications TWCTV and RSN
- Demonstrated familiarity with client-side scripting (JavaScript) is a plus.
- Experience using and understanding Digital Video Recordings, Electronic Program Guides is a plus.
- Experience working with Agile Development teams is a plus.
- In depth experience with a Cisco headend is a plus.
- In depth experience with a Client headend is a plus.
- Experience with cable system billing systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic cable system infrastructure architecture is a plus
