Inventory Control Associate
Dental Manufacturing
Mon-Fri
6:30am-3pm
$18.50/hour
The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory, performing cycle counts to ensure that all materials are physically verified to match ERP system inventory
Investigate and root cause discrepancies, working with the various teams to prevent recurrence.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: (include, but not limited to):
• Accurately perform cycle counts in all warehouses/locations.
• Investigate and correct discrepancies.
• Perform proper inventory adjustments and transfers in ERP software.
• Ensure materials are in proper locations; conduct searches to locate missing inventory.
• Count and prepare inventory to be sent to Suppliers.
• Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine
quantity on hand.
• Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products to supervisor -
• Assist with inventory metrics.
• Communicate and develop process enhancements as needed (perform root cause analysis on
inventory discrepancies and recommends process improvements to eliminate them)
• Works on departmental and interdepartmental projects as needed.
• Assist as needed with Physical Inventory.
• Maintain neat, clean, and orderly working area.
• Ability to work extended hours/over-time as needed as well as some Saturdays.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and guidelines.
Educational and Skill Requirements:
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Proven time management skills with the ability to respond to time-critical issues and work overtime
as needed to meet deadlines.
• Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
• Comfortable using a PC with computer software packages, including Microsoft Office and able to
communicate effectively via email and phone frequently.
• Excellent work ethic: ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player.
• Organized thought process with high attention to detail with ability to produce accurate results,
effective prioritization to meet scheduled deadlines, and strong analytical and problem-solving
skills.
Physical Requirements:
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, and move about the facility.
• Must be able to sit or stand at a computer workstation for short periods of time.
• Required to regularly lift up to 50lbs.
Equipment Used:
• Personal Computer
• Scanner/Barcode Readers
• Telephone system.
Work Schedule:
• Ability to work flexible hours, with additional time as needed.
• Less than 1% unplanned absenteeism is expected.
• No more than 40 unexcused hours per calendar year
