About the Job
Technical Solutions Inc. is currently seeking a QC Inspector & Final Testing Technician on behalf of our client, a manufacturer based in the Wheeling, WV area.
Responsibilities:
- Final quality assurance test (electrical and mechanical) electric motors upon completion of repair
- Vibration analysis of final tested units with troubleshooting as required
- Inspect parts of electric motors for defects and anomalies.
- Perform incoming measurements and documentation on electric motor parts following teardown.
- Assist with writing final inspection work scope/report for final job quoting purposes.
- Assist with motor teardown and rebuild or rotating equipment when needed.
- Follow daily scheduled tasks prioritized by Production Manager.
Requirements:
- Ability to perform precision measurements to ensure tolerance specifications are met.
- Understands electricity and electrical connections of AC and DC Motors
- Ability to understand blueprints and technical specifications.
- Comfortable using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, etc.
- Experience writing repair work scopes via the documented failure modes & repair methods.
- Have basic operating skills of manual lathes and milling machines.
- Fit within the HECO culture and share the same core values as the company and its team.
- A highly detailed individual who can excel in a fast paced, quickly changing environment.

- Great communicator with the ability to work with cross departmental personnel and people with various backgrounds and personalities.
- Prior rotating equipment experience is beneficial.
