Our client is an innovative personal care manufacturer. They are seeking an experienced QC Manager to join their team and will be managing the quality, micro, and analytical labs.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$110,000 – $135,000 depending on experience
Position Overview:
The QC Manager will be overseeing Quality Control to ensure timely task completion, regulatory compliance, efficient budget management, and maintaining laboratory standards while addressing and escalating issues as needed. The QC Manager should come from a background in personal care ideally, OTC, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Responsibilities of the QC Manager:
- Communicates the company’s vision and goals to the Quality Control team
- Guides and develops QC staff, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement
- Oversees hiring, training, and retention of QC personnel, promoting teamwork and professional growth
- Reviews and approves Out of Specification Reports and conducts root cause analyses
- Ensures compliance with Quality KPIs, addressing issues and identifying improvement opportunities
- Works with other departments to enhance quality processes
- Interfaces with customers and suppliers as needed
- Alerts management to key quality issues and recommends process enhancements
Qualifications for the QC Manager:
- 5 to 10 years experience in a management role within a QC environment
- 5+ years experience in analytical chemistry
- Experience in personal care or pharmaceuticals is a must
Education Requirements:
- PhD or Master’s degree in Chemistry is required
