As a Quality Control Technician you will:
- Receive incoming material:
- Open incoming shipments to prepare for inspection.
- Assure that the physical count matches the paperwork.
- Examine the shipment for any damage or breakage.
- Incoming Inspection:
- Inspect incoming materials, both customer supplied and raw material.
- Assure that the material meets the specifications outlined in the drawing and associated paperwork.
- Use the appropriate inspection equipment including calipers, microscope, digital xy stage, etc.
- Inspected material will be delivered to the stockroom to be logged in and stored.
- First Article Inspection:
- As deemed necessary by the laser operator or the QC Inspector a first article inspection will be performed on new setups.
- Once this sample is completed the laser operator will be notified and will take the appropriate action.
- If necessary the QC Inspector or the Laser Operator will consult the Production Mgr. or the shift lead person.
- In-Process Inspection:
- Samples will be pulled from production on a regular basis for In-process inspection.
- If the quality of the sample does not meet the customer’s specifications the operator will be notified and corrections made.
- Processed quantities prior to the inspection will be checked to see when the problem exhibited itself.
- Final Inspection:
- The inspector will do a final inspection on all materials completed from production.
- Final inspections should be performed in such a way to accommodate the pick up schedules of the various carriers.
- The appropriate equipment should be used assure satisfactory inspection.
- If the inspector has any concerns with a particular job He or She should consult the engineering manager.
- Transfer materials to Shipping:
- When the final inspection is complete the inspector should deliver the materials to the Shipping and Receiving Department as soon as possible.
- Transfer materials to Stockroom:
- Excess completed material or raw material should be transferred to the stockroom with the appropriate documentation so that Inventory Control can place the materials into stock.
- Documentation:
- By the end of each day the inspection report will be completed with all of the associated documentation.
- The final document package will be presented to the Engineering Mgr. to be approved.
The ideal candidate will have:.
- Prior expereince with CNC Machining Quality Control
- Expereince with inspection equipment including calipers, microscope, digital xy stage, etc.
- Shipping experience
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Pass ITAR Requirements
