The Mortgage Quality Control Analyst will oversee quality control processes within our mortgage brokerage, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations as well as internal policies. This role involves reviewing loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions to maintain the integrity and quality of our loan processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mortgage industry standards, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Compensation:$50,000 - $75,000 yearly
Responsibilities:- Implement and maintain established quality control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Conduct post-closing quality control reviews to verify that loan files meet all guidelines and are complete.
- Monitor loan documentation for accuracy and completeness, identifying any deficiencies and coordinating corrections with relevant departments.
- Generate trend analysis summaries to report quality control findings and offer actionable insights.
- Maintain the loan pipeline, ensuring accuracy of file staging and communicating with relevant departments and individuals to make updates as needed.
- Disposition of loan LOS files based on policy and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with internal partners and departments to resolve QC issues and ensure alignment with regulatory standards.
- Maintain and update a repository of QC documentation, ensuring easy accessibility for audits and regulatory examinations.
- Knowledge of data analysis and trending techniques.
- Experience with NMLS reporting and understanding of multi-state compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of federal and state mortgage regulations, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA guidelines.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage quality control, compliance, or loan underwriting within the mortgage industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply complex regulations to everyday mortgage operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with loan origination systems (experience with ARIVE preferred).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to clearly convey complex compliance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and capacity for independent decision-making.
- Ability to work as a team, collaborating with others, and seeking and offer assistance and support when needed.
