About the Job
Maximus seeks an Automation Tester to join a fast-paced Agile software development team supporting the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This individual will be an integral part of the team, working closely with developers, system testers, and solution architects to identify test cases, build test frameworks, and maintain test suites.
The selected candidate will be expected to assist in building out a strategic plan that includes testing schedules, documented processes, and present time estimation for testing activities to inform value engineering.
This position will serve as a critical component to the program's design, build out and implementation of an automation test suite across a large-scale, Java Application.
Required Skills:
• Due to Federal requirements this position requires the ability to pass a government required background investigation which will require US citizenship. Additionally, all applicants must be eligible to work for any employer without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
• Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of applicable experience or Associates Degree and 5 years of applicable experience
• Minimum years of work-related experience: 6 years of professional experience
• Strong Knowledge in Selenium/Cucumber, Behavior Driven Development (BDD), Java, JUnit, JavaScript, Karate, and/or Maven
• Experience working with Atlassian Products; Jira and Confluence
• Experience using GIT
Desired/Preferred Skills:
- Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise
- Experience in Application Programming Interface (API) testing by way of automation
- Proven experience in developing solutions to a variety of complex problems
- Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.
