About the Job
I. BROAD FUNCTION
Monitors and ensures compliance to government (Customer specifications, FDA and FDA Labeling Guidelines, USDA, PMO, GFSI-BRC and Health department, and local regulatory agencies). Measures continuous improvement: coordinator analyze, maintain, and improve performance and process development in systems and programs of the Quality Assurance Department.
II. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Ensures by keeping updates to compliance to Food Safety Regulatory Requirements
- Ensures highly disciplined compliance with all regulatory and Company.
- Defines and support food safety and sanitation standards, systems, procedures, and practices to guarantee product safety.
2. Must be familiar with the Quality Management System.
3.Reviews processing activities to ensure conformance to specifications.
4.Assures that products are being produced in conformance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s Part 110.0 & 117.0)
5.Must be familiar with Food Safety Plan/cHACCP.
6.Investigates and communicate to the Q.A manager all food safety issues.
7.Responsible for assessing the training needs of the QA team, making sure that training is adequately performed and documented.
8.Reviews and update work aids (instructions, charts, manuals, bulletins, code date calendars, etc.) essential for verification of product quality.
9.Participates in food safety and sanitation audits.
10. Conducts monthly team meetings to address employee issues.
11.Verifies department’s standard operating procedures complies with BRC and/or regulatory requirements such as Customer specifications, FDA, Labeling Guidelines, USDA, PMO, GFSI-BRC and Health department).
12.Assists in special projects and generates summary of projects’ performance.
13.Assumes the duties of Lead Auditor and Qualified Individual (FSMA).
14.Communicates effectively with the Q.A managers/Director, department employees, Plant management, regional management, Ole’s management, and suppliers.
15.Perform other duties as assigned.
16.Analyzing company processes and procedures.
17.Developing process enhancement strategies.
18.Investigating shortfalls, issues, and complaints in current business processes.
19.Establishing norms and standards of company processes.
20.Collaborating with other stakeholders to enhance productivity and staff satisfaction.
21.Communicating ideas and opinions to other members of management.
22.Training, mentoring, and guiding team members in new processes.
23.Staying up to date with developments in management and process optimization.
24. Constantly promote QA Compliance within the development community and actively seek out additional tasks that would benefit from QA Compliance input.
25. Develop and maintain quality assurance and compliance polices and standard operating procedures, meeting domestic and international regulations, corporate policies.
26. Collaborate with co-packers QA plants, along with QA coordinator the ensure regulatory compliance.
27. Participate in QA Compliance initiatives to drive greater collaboration and standardization between all divisions and copackers QA teams.
28. Work with regulatory experts and his/her immediate supervisor to ensure the practice/organization has and maintains appropriate compliance forms, information notices and materials reflecting current organization and regulatory practices and requirements.
29. Implement and manage systems for Quality Management, Quality Assurance, Data stewardship and governance, and regulatory audits and surveillance
30. Work with peer group to design and maintain clear workflows and processes that ensure the overall group operates in a unified and efficient manner
31. Play a supporting role in developing, documenting, and publicizing the group’s service offerings to development teams.
32. Assist in the development and production of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the group and ensure that all team members are working to meet them.
