The client seeks a Quality Assurance Lead with strong experience in functional and regression testing to support the modernization of a lending payment platform. The role involves refactoring and creating resilient code in Java, working with Spring Boot, IntelliJ, MySQL, and Oracle databases. The QA Lead will participate in Agile ceremonies, collaborate with software engineers and analysts, and ensure code quality and risk mitigation. This is a remote position open to all U.S. time zones, with no travel required. It’s a long-term contract role with potential for extension or full-time conversion. Familiarity with diverse industry backgrounds and cross-functional teamwork is valued.

Required Technical Skills:

1. 5+ years' experience in functional and regression testing

2. Proficient in Java and experienced with Spring Boot for application development

3. Hands-on experience with IntelliJ as a development environment

4. Skilled in working with MySQL and Oracle databases for both testing and deployment purposes

5. Experience working in Agile environments and participating in cross-functional teams

Quality Assurance Lead Role and Responsibilities:

1. Modernize the payments platform by refactors/creating new code in Java/Oracle/MySQL as needed, be organized, be present and participate in crew ceremonies, identify and call out potential risk as needed.

2. Code software including unit tests, code database, deploy software/database, ensure that all code is tested and packaged for production deployment
