Currently, we are partnered with a preferred client in the manufacturing industry in search of a highly talented Quality Assurance Manager.
Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Manager will provide leadership to establish and maintain quality levels of products from the supply base through to the customer by driving an effective quality system. This role is responsible for the leadership, development, implementation, and management of all QA programs and activities, ensuring compliance with ISO, regulatory requirements, and product quality standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the documentation and implementation of an ISO 9001-based quality management system at the plant level
- Identify Key Process Characteristics through tools such as FMEA's and DOE's
- Drive improvement of process capabilities (Cpk's) working with equipment OEM's and process engineering
- Develop and maintain process control by inspection plan where process is not capable
- Lead and drive improvement in process efficiency and product quality
- Assist in driving progress toward prompt Supplier Claim resolution and evaluate customer claims
- Lead Material Review Board meetings and drive corrective action for nonconforming material
- Supervise, develop, and coach QA Supervisor/Technician/Engineer
- Support deployment of companywide systems such as SAP Quality Management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 5+ years quality management experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- ISO 9001 knowledge and ability to articulate how it was implemented
- At least 5 years in a Quality Manager position
- Six Sigma Trained or Certified (green or black belt)
- ISO 9001 Auditor
- Experience with process capabilities and process control tools (SPC, FMEA, Cpk's, inspection plans)
- Strong problem-solving skills with effective root cause analysis knowledge
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Highly articulate verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Desire to continually learn and expand knowledge base
- Knowledge of ICEA, AEIC, UL, and ASTM testing standards a plus
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools a plus
