Overview: Ampcus is seeking an accomplished Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Manager with a robust background in software testing and quality assurance across Agile and Waterfall SDLCs. This role requires an individual who brings strong leadership skills, excellent manual testing expertise, and a strategic approach to quality management that aligns with Ampcus's standards and objectives. The QA Manager will also play a hands-on role in performing testing and developing test cases to ensure the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Quality Leadership: Drive QA strategy, establishing and maintaining QA standards, processes, and best practices. Lead the quality assurance team, fostering a high-performance environment and aligning testing initiatives with company objectives and project goals.
- Hands-On Testing and Test Case Development: Take an active role in developing high-quality test cases and scenarios to ensure comprehensive coverage of functional and regression testing needs. Perform hands-on manual testing to maintain quality standards and identify high-impact defects directly.
- Comprehensive Test Planning and Execution: Design and manage comprehensive test plans and strategies that consistently meet deadlines and quality benchmarks. Ensure testing practices align with project requirements, scope, and timelines, maintaining a quality-centric approach to all QA efforts.
- Advanced Test Case Management: Oversee and contribute to the creation and maintenance of detailed manual test cases, ensuring thorough coverage of requirements with a focus on identifying critical defects early in the process.
- Defect Management and Quality Control: Lead defect identification and rigorous management processes. Facilitate defect review meetings to provide transparency, root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvements across projects.
- Stakeholder Communication and Reporting: Serve as the key QA liaison for upper management, delivering detailed progress updates, risk assessments, and issue tracking to ensure stakeholders are fully informed and aligned with QA goals.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration: Distribute QA tasks, mentor team members, and promote effective communication within the QA team to align with project milestones. Foster cross-functional collaboration and work seamlessly with project managers, developers, and end users.
- Documentation and Release Management: Oversee the creation of user-friendly release notes, technical documentation, and quality metrics reports to support end users, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Education and Certification: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems (or related field) required; ISTQB or similar certification preferred.
- QA Leadership Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a QA leadership role with over 10 years in quality assurance, showcasing the ability to lead projects effectively, drive QA initiatives, and mentor team members.
- Exceptional Manual Testing Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in manual functional testing with a proven record of high defect discovery and resolution skills.
- Proficient Test Case Development: Strong ability to evaluate and interpret project requirements, translating them into clear, comprehensive manual test cases and UAT plans. Ability to develop and refine test cases to address functional, integration, and regression needs.
- Experience in Agile and Waterfall Methodologies: Strong understanding and practical experience in both Agile and Waterfall SDLCs, particularly in cross-functional team settings.
- Outstanding Communication Skills: Proficiency in English, with the ability to author clear, high-quality documentation, materials, and reports for clients and stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of SQL and data testing
- Additional Certifications: Agile, Project Management, or ISTQB certifications
- IV&V Experience: Experience in Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V)
- Cloud Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with Azure, AWS, and PeopleSoft
- Automation Testing: Basic understanding of automation testing tools and methodologies
