About the Job
Our client, an FAA-certified jet accessory repair station, is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee and enhance their quality assurance processes. This full-time position is based near Fort Lauderdale International Airport and offers an exceptional opportunity to lead quality initiatives in a highly reputable MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environment. Known for their commitment to excellence, our client is an industry leader in aircraft accessory repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the tool calibration program, ensuring all tools meet regulatory and operational standards.
- Administer the FAA-mandated drug testing program, ensuring compliance across the organization.
- Manage technician training programs to ensure personnel meet regulatory and operational requirements.
- Enforce FAA/EASA compliance within the company's operations, ensuring all activities align with aviation standards.
- Lead the organization's efforts in preparation for FAA and customer on-site audits.
- Request, maintain, and catalog audits from contracted maintenance vendors to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in an MRO environment, with experience in quality assurance or an inspection role.
- Organizational Skills: Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple programs and processes simultaneously.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, essential for working with various departments and stakeholders.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FAA and EASA quality standards and regulations is essential.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in leading quality assurance programs within an aviation or aerospace environment.
- Strong understanding of audit processes, including FAA and customer audits, and the ability to maintain compliance with vendor audits.
- Proven track record in managing training programs and regulatory compliance in a technical setting.
