We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team in a dual role as a Quality Assurance Manager, working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Position Overview:
Quality Assurance Manager will oversee all aspects of quality assurance and compliance with industry standards, and will assist in product development, manage product data, and collaborate with various departments on new and existing product lines.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance Manager Duties:
- Develop, implement, and manage quality assurance standards for consumer products.
- Lead the QA team in overseeing product safety, social compliance, testing, inspection, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage the entire QA process, including risk analysis, corrective actions, and compliance with Federal, State, and Regional standards.
- Utilize analytical tools and equipment such as Refractometers, Conductivity Meters, and Spectrophotometers for product testing.
- Address incoming quality issues, analyze root causes, and document corrective actions, evaluating risks to inventory and production.
- Assess supplier quality assurance capabilities, manage vendor scorecards, and ensure vendor compliance.
- Collaborate with third-party testing agencies, providing performance visibility to internal executives.
- Work closely with the in-house executive chef to perform organoleptic and analytical testing of products.
- Understand product performance in various cooking applications and ensure quality across all categories.
- Coordinate projects and collaborate with internal and external procurement departments.
- Request product samples, ingredient changes, and prepare detailed reports on findings.
- Manage and maintain product data and samples, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Revise ingredient statements and nutritional facts to ensure compliance with FDA guidelines.
- Assist in developing product formulas, analyzing QA samples, and performing basic food testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, with a preference for degrees in science, culinary disciplines, or related fields.
- 0-3 years of related industry experience in food science, product development, or quality management.
- Expertise in statistical process control methods, data analysis, and defect analysis.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with GMP, FSVP, FSPCA, HACCP, FDA, USDA regulations, and CPG laws.
- Knowledge of food labeling laws and food packaging trends.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for food and cooking, with hands-on experience in product development preferred.

- Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in PC operating systems, Microsoft Office, and email.
- Ability to learn and gain in-depth knowledge of food standards, FDA/USDA labeling regulations, and food testing methods.
