About the Job
The QA Operator will be responsible to liaise with Operations to ensure a safe wholesome finished product, which meets our customer's specifications. This is accomplished by conforming to all standards within the LOL Quality Management Systems.
Monitor activities to ensure compliance to all standards of EQMS. Works with QA Manager, Supervisors, Leads, and QA Staff to foster and develop programs to assist all employees in the completion of their duties, especially regarding Quality. Works Plant wide to ensure that product integrity, from a microbiological and analytical standpoint, is protected.
Shift:8:30PM - 5:00AM, Monday - Friday. Occasional Saturdays and overtime as needed. Hours may vary.
Pay: $22.43 per hour
QA Inspections at the Filler (SOP 308 & 822): Perform QA inspections at the Filler lines and document checks accurately.
- X-Ray/Metal Detector Verification (CCP3 verification).
- Seal Testing.
- Code Check.
- Sensory Evaluation.
- Filling Temperature (CCP2 verification).
- Kettles Temperature verification.
- Calibrations at the fillers.
- Magnets check.
QA Inspections at Packing (SOP 508): Perform QA inspections at the Packing lines and document checks accurately.
- Cooling Time/Temperature Check.
- Code Check.
- Packaging materials component number verification and allergen claim (CCP5 verification).
- Sensory Evaluation.
Milk Receiving (SOP 832):
- Perform %TA Testing.
- Perform pH Testing.
- Sensory Evaluation.
- COA's Milk review and document data in Form 001 accurately, release milk for production.
Pre-Operational Inspections (SOP 844) :
- Visual inspections to processing equipment after Sanitation has cleaned it.
- Perform ATP & Allergen swabs (when applicable) to processing equipment.
Competencies (skills, knowledge and abilities)
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions, and possess basic mathematical skills.
Minimum General Requirements
- 18 years or older.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 6+ months of manufacturing experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- 1+ years of continuous prior experience in any industry.
- Self-Reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervision.
