Responsibilities You will perform root cause analysis to assist in identifying contributing factors when a procedural issue is identified that requires further clarification. You will verify requirements for packing, packaging and preservation of accepted products are complied with. You will verify contractors and Government performance of manual and computerized operation and environment checks of electronic, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems. You will verify performance and results of non-destructive tests related to structural assemblies and other materials to determine conformance with standards, specifications and requirements. You will report on quality levels found, and deficiencies identified during inspection processes. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least three years of general experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the NH-01 pay band (GS-04 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Experience in fields such as quality control, quality inspection, contracting and purchasing, supply and storage, industrial or production planning, research and engineering, maintenance, and test and evaluation that provided (1) familiarity with quality assurance or related work, (2) pertinent product or process knowledge and skill, (3) ability to interpret and apply contract requirements and engineering specifications, and (4) skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships. Education In lieu of general experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion of a full four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position.; OR A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
