Summary You will serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist (Metrology) in the role of a Metrology Technical Assistant, in the Quality Assurance Department of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF). Responsibilities You will provide technical direction of assigned aspects of the calibration quality assurance program to the workforce by ensuring that all calibration personnel are cognizant of required standards and procedures. You will analyze data to identify trends and trouble areas to recommend corrective measures and improvements to management. You will analyze out of tolerance standards calibration data to evaluate and recommend corrective measures to management. You will prepare and review official correspondence and formal reports related to the Metrology and Calibration Program. You will be responsible for monitoring shop personnel and their assigned processes through in-process checks, proficiencies, and supporting quality group audits. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating calibration quality assurance by conducting technical reviews, quality checks, and surveillances to identify operational or procedural deficiencies and implement corrective actions to ensure the laboratory maintains quality standards and certification requirements. GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting with performing research on equipment specifications, researching calibration methodologies, conducting proficiency testing, and proctoring measurement studies.
