About the Job
The Quality Assurance Supervisor is a vital role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality are achieved and maintained across either specific site operations or the entire enterprise. This role entails conducting thorough inspections, audits, and analysis to ensure compliance with both internal and external quality standards and regulatory requirements. Working closely with the Quality Assurance Manager and various departmental teams, the Quality Assurance Supervisor will help to identify areas for improvement, contribute to continuous improvement projects, and ensure that all products and processes meet the stringent quality expectations of our customers and regulatory bodies.
Responsibilities:- Conduct detailed quality assurance evaluations and audits to ensure adherence to established quality standards and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in the Non-Conforming Material (NCM) process, aiding in the identification, documentation, and resolution of quality issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by applying quality methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean principles to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of internal and external quality audits, including ISO certifications and compliance assessments.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, providing detailed reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to integrate quality assurance measures into daily operations and processes.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry quality standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices to ensure the organization's quality systems are up to date.
- Participate in quality training and development programs and support the dissemination of quality awareness throughout the organization.
- Act as a quality assurance liaison with suppliers and customers, ensuring that quality specifications and expectations are clearly communicated and met.
- Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the organization's quality management system documentation.
- Oversee equipment calibration planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing or related industry environment.
- Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., CQA) or Lean Six Sigma Belt certification is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in quality systems and standards, such as ISO 9001.
- Experience with conducting audits, quality evaluations, and continuous improvement projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with and influencing teams across the organization.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical conduct and quality assurance best practices.
- Computer knowledge including advanced Excel skills.
