Job Summary
Assists the Quality Engineer by performing specialized test and tooling qualifications, compiling cost of quality data, and preparing shipping documents to support product manufacture. Under the supervision of the program Quality Engineer, gives direction to program Quality Assurance Inspectors. Uses gages to measure product features in accordance with drawings and specifications and reports measurement data in statistical format. Uses various software programs to format and transmit data, including electronic submittal of shipment packages for payment.

Primary Responsibilities
- Extracts detailed information from contracts and purchase orders to complete shipment packages that may include Material Inspection and Receiving Reports (DD250), Requisition and Invoicing/Shipping Documents (DD1149), Packing Slips, Ammunition Data Cards, Material and Chemical Certifications, and all other contractually required documentation.
- Assist inspectors in inspection and testing of product. Assists inspectors in the review and disposition of product. Ability to train inspectors to the program inspection plan.
- Knowledgeable in statistical techniques (including SPC and process capability) and assists in their use.
- Performs Gage R&R/Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA).
- Collects daily manufacturing and inspection results and prepares weekly and monthly reports of product yield and Cost of Quality for financial reports.
- Updates electronic data and/or InfinityQS Data Entry Configurations. Frequently reviews data in the electronic data and/or InfinityQS system for program quality performance.
- Assists Production Supervisors and Quality Assurance Engineers (QEs) by updating work instructions.
- Uses Excel and Access databases to format data, results, and prepare reports.
- Performs program and process audits to verify the effectiveness of inspection methods and compliance to work instructions.
- Assists Manufacturing in fulfilling shipping requirements per contracts and purchase orders. Collect and prepare production data to fulfill customer required contract quality specifications.
- Maintains the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above.
- Understands and lives by Armtec’s ethics and business conduct policies.
- Passing score on the Armtec QC test.
- Must be dependable, responsible, and accurate and have the ability to deal with people effectively.
- Demonstrate ability in the Armtec competencies as an employee: customer focus, ethics and values, problem solving, integrity and trust, functional/technical skills, listening, action-oriented, composure and values diversity.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorization from the U.S. Government
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
