What this role is all about:
We are looking for a Quality Cheese Sampler in Jerome, ID. The Quality Cheese Sampler is responsible for sampling product and performing other duties to ensure compliance with product specifications and environmental standards. The Quality Cheese Sampler is responsible for ensuring organization standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are followed to preserve integrity of the products while providing feedback for continuous improvements for the Quality System.
- Starting pay $19.03
- $1.50 shift premium for night shift
- Double-time on Sunday’s
- Perform product and environmental sampling with accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform basic chemical titrations and accurately communicate results.
- Perform general cleaning and organizational tasks
What you need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum one (1) year of related experience required.
- Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and sampling requirements required.
Where you’ll be working:
Our Jerome, ID, plant is home to approximately 400 employees and processes approximately 7 million pounds of milk per day. This facility produces various types of cheeses, such as; mozzarella, cheddar, provolone, muenster, parmesan, romano, Monterey jack, gouda, and asiago. They also run various whey streams, such as; deproteinized whey, sweet dairy whey, GMP, permeate, instantized, and our top-rated BiPro products.
- Agropur’s US operations produce approximately 1 billion pounds of quality, award winning cheese each year. The US operations produce more than 20 different cheese varieties along with whey protein and dry ingredients.
