POSITION TITLE: Quality Control Incoming Inspector
STATUS: Temp-Full-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS:

- Conduct finished good inspections by checking for batch quantity, country, lot number, expiration date, label, SKU, and physical characteristics (seals, dents, and scratches) on packaging by comparing to existing standard.
- Finished good, pre-ship, and incoming inspection verification.
- Conduct raw packaging inspection on product by checking for quantity, label issues, and physical characteristics (seals, dents, and scratches) on packaging by comparing to existing standard.
- Check the Art Code on the label and compare to the existing Art Code standard in Ensur.
- Quarantine all phase-in artwork to ensure all current artwork is used up before new ones can be used.
- Document inspection results and comment on Inspection Form(s).
- Immediately notify QC Lead/Quality Manager of any non-conformances during inspection of incoming finished goods and raw materials.
- Provide monthly KPI data to QC Lead/Quality Manager.
- Place "Approved” stickers on product/packaging that meets acceptance criteria.
- Place "Hold” stickers on product/packaging awaiting a disposition.
- Place "Reject” stickers on product/packaging that has been rejected.
- Complete a Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR) when needed.
- Complete and turn in inspection forms daily to QC Lead.
- Monitor the Receiving area and processes to ensure compliance with cGMP.
- Check artwork/artcode and dimensions (weight, height, thickness, diameter, etc.) against standard.
- Comply with Company SOPs and Policies.
- Fill in for the QC Line Inspector when needed, fulfilling all duties of that position, as needed.
- Control of incoming dietary supplements, labels and proper storage.
- Collecting samples for lab analysis and retain as per standard operating procedure.
- Collect representative samples according to specified sampling procedure and plan.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES:
- Ability to read and write English to check labels, complete reports, etc.
- Knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Ability to perform simple math functions.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to use scale, caliper and ruler.
- Legible handwriting.
- Knowledge of performing and discussing investigations, both verbally and in writing.
- Methodical and accurate documentation.
- Stand/walk for up to 10 hours at a time.
- Good hand/eye coordination.
- Walk/move around for up to 10 hours at a time.
- Visual acuity skills to adequately inspect the line operation and equipment.
- Able to write/record information accurately.
- Lift up to 5 pounds.
- Bend reach forward/overhead, squat, kneel, and twist.
- High School Diploma/equivalent or college degree required.
- 1-2 years of work experience in production in a GMP environment required.
- 1-2 years of work experience with line inspection/GMP audit experience required.
- 1-2 years' work experience requiring visual accuracy.
