AVStar NY is currently seeking experienced 1st and 2nd shift Quality Control Inspectors for our Auburn, NY location.

Position Summary:
Perform inspection operations while working from drawings, customer specifications and process operating documents on moderately complex machined parts
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Inspects finished precision machined products, including in process, incoming materials, parts, and assemblies, etc., for conformance to company standards
- Inspects randomly selected samples to verify accuracy
- Familiar with precision measuring instruments and devices
- Perform first piece, first article and final inspection
- Offers suggestions to improve/enhance the inspection process
- Capable of interpreting blueprints
- Understanding of geometric tolerance
- Coordinates with personnel for resolutions to quality issues
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Work Experience: 2 years' experience measuring precision machined parts
- CMM Experience, preferably Zeiss
Key Competencies Include:
- Ability to perform assigned tasks independently with limited supervision
- Ability to read and understand component and assembly drawings
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately
- Must be a detail-oriented individual
- Ability to use simple measurement tools such as calipers or gauges
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrates ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
- Ability to accurately perform basic computer tasks
- Requires understanding of related inter-department processes
- Must work with a limited number of outside departments
- Ability to collect data and update measurements
Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00 depending on experience and shift
