Quality Control Inspector Compensation
· The pay for this position is $ 26.46 per hour
· Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
· A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility date
Quality Control Inspector Highlights
· The required availability for this position is 8:00am - 4:00pm Monday- Friday
Quality Control Inspector Responsibilities
· In depth knowledge of the aspects of the brachytherapy business from order processing to order release.
· Provide the Quality check on all customer orders.
· The Brachytherapy Order Processing department is responsible for arranging for the supply of isotopes that will be used in the treatment of cancer. As a result, the individual in this position will be at times expected to work late evenings and possibly weekends and / or holidays.
· Significant responsibility for determining the correctness of Bard Seed Order Specialists order input of customer requirements as compared to the original customer request.
· Accurately prepares inspection paperwork.
· Keeps accurate/orderly records of inspections.
· Resolves any discrepancies with internal order records and the original customer requirements.
· Properly inspects and processes customer seed orders in accordance with procedures and specifications.
· Properly identifies and segregates customer orders as to its inspection status (folder system).
· Maintain the database relative to brachytherapy seed order processing and error tracking.
· Maintain records of all orders and confirmations.
Responsible for independent verification of the seed activity through completion of additional seed calculator document.
· Assists with departmental reports
· Daily communication with manufacturing facility and outside vendors.
· Assist with obtaining complaint details from Sales / Marketing or customers and providing that data to Field Assurance.
· Assist in the development of new programs, revisions to processes, and complaint or failure investigations.

Quality Control Inspector Requirements

· Skilled in the use of personal computers and office software including familiarity with MS word, excel, Access, and Outlook
· Ability to solve basic math equations and review data tables
· Understanding of radioactive materials physical characteristics, dose calculation, or the ability to assimilate the basic knowledge quickly.
· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
· Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
· Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
· Excellent organizational skills.
· Demonstrated excellence in the continuous handling of meticulous detail.
· Ability to read and interpret treatment planning needle loading plan computer output.
· Self starter, able to work independently with little direct supervision
· Excellent data entry, proofreading, and typing skills.
Quality Control Inspector Preferred Qualifications
· Associate Level Degree education
· Customer Service for Medical Devices and / or Clinical experience preferred
· JDE experience preferred
· 5 or more years of Customer Service experience of Medical Devices required
· 3 years of quality inspection experience preferred
