Quality Control Inspector
1st shift available: 6am-2:15pm.
The Quality Control Inspector will be working in a machine shop environment inspecting fabricated and machined parts. The position will have shared responsibilities for inspecting and testing machined parts for specifications and deviations from pre-set specifications. The position will utilize measuring instruments and complex testing equipment in the course of daily activities.
Providing support for the entire operation, the Quality Control Inspector, collaborating with a team of inspectors will be responsible for completing inspections using current guidelines as well as looking to expand and improve on current processes. Inspections are completed using a variety of inspection tools along with visual inspection.
The Quality Control Inspector will work closely with management and machinists to ensure superior quality products and exceptional workmanship standards are being maintained through dimensional and visual inspections both in the lab and on the floor throughout the day.
Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the position:
- At least three (3) years of experience as a Machinist/CNC Operator and/or quality control work in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of quality inspection tools: calipers, micrometers, gage pins, CMM equipment, etc.
- A self-starter with the ability to multitask and quickly shift priorities in support of production.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills both written and oral along with organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate confidence in decision making to maintain quality standards and workmanship.
- Familiar with or experience working in an ISO environment.
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to enter data into various computer programs.
- Demonstrated ability to read prints and specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully interact with and wok with others on a regular basis.
- Willingness to work overtime as may be required.
- Complies with all safety practices, policies, and procedures.
