Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Construction Quality Control Manager to oversee quality assurance and control for our airport construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring that all work meets industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, particularly in airport or similar infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures specific to airport construction.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Review and approve materials, equipment, and processes to ensure they meet project specifications.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to quality control activities, including reports, inspection records, and non-conformance reports.
- Train and mentor project staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on quality control progress and challenges.
- Conduct root cause analysis for any quality issues and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction quality control, preferably in airport or large infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards (e.g., ASTM, ACI).
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and airport construction requirements is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Auditor, Six Sigma) are a plus.
