Brayman Construction Corporation is currently hiring for a full-time Quality Control Manager to join our team of professionals on our long-term, US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) project at the Bluestone Dam in Hinton, West Virginia. Your efforts will ensure that our work is performed correctly and help us eliminate rework and ensure owner satisfaction.

ABOUT THE QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER JOB
In this Quality Control Manager position we rely on you to ensure that the company's quality control procedures are being followed. You will use your wealth of experience and expertise to develop and implement quality control tests and procedures that meet or exceed company and project requirements. Your exemplary leadership skills will be essential as you oversee our team of Quality Control staff and collaborate with other project team members. As an integral part of the team, there will be times when it is necessary for you to perform the duties of the QC Engineer as well. This is a challenging position that also brings great rewards.

QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS
Brayman was contracted by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to provide specialty construction services for several Phases of the Dam Safety Assurance (DSA) of the Bluestone Dam located one and a half miles upstream of Hinton, WV. Work includes the setup and operation of an onsite batch plant, 60,000-CY of rock excavation, 65,000-CY of common excavation, placement of over 100,000-CY of embankment material, 90,000-CY of mass concrete placement, 1150 -each high-capacity dam anchors, a grout curtain, and the reconstruction of the left and right river bank parks and recreation features.
To be successful in this position, you will need to have ten or more years of related professional experience, a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field, and legal registration as a Professional Engineer (PE). In addition to meeting those requirements you will also have the following.
- Experience with the US Army Corps of Engineers.
- Experience in the inspection and testing of various construction disciplines like concrete, soils, welding, or maintenance of traffic required.
- Experience with steel erection projects a plus.
- Experience with Structural Concrete and Mass Concrete a plus.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects with various safety hazards which are potentially life-threatening to the employee. This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, around high voltage, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.
