Job Details
Strategic Evaluation: Assess production operations to ensure products meet quality, integrity, functionality, and other specified requirements.
Collaboration: Work with management and senior staff across production departments to establish acceptable quality standards.
Quality Standards: Develop and implement quality standard testing and evaluation processes.
Assessment and Approval: Evaluate test results and approve recommended changes.
Documentation: Create and update spec sheets for new and existing items as needed.
Quality Control Documentation: Review checklists, logs, and reports for effectiveness, accuracy, and relevance.
Inspections: Conduct random inspections and quality control checks.
Policy Development: Plan, develop, and direct quality assurance policies, programs, and initiatives.
Tools and Training: Develop and implement quality standards, tools, training, and methods.
Performance Monitoring: Evaluate the production process and the quality of resulting products to improve operations.
Industry Knowledge: Maintain extensive knowledge of industry standards and governmental regulations for product quality.
Testing and Validation: Test and validate pass/fail results and accurately record data.
Feedback: Provide accurate, clear, and immediate feedback to operations teams and managers.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
Safety Compliance: Ensure a safe laboratory environment by complying with environmental health and safety requirements.
Personnel Training: Properly train and document new personnel.
Permit Updates: Update state and city environmental permits.
Safety Inspections: Perform fire extinguisher and emergency exit inspections per OSHA requirements and conduct safety inspections in all departments.
Training Materials: Supply training materials for weekly safety trainings.
Audits: Conduct food safety audits and oversee the pest control program.
Audit Coordination: Schedule and coordinate audits, including preparations for compliance and leading the audit with the inspector.
Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as required by management.
