Location: Galveston, TX / Traveling (based on project, primarily across Texas and the Gulf Coast)
Schedule: Full-time / Rotational (14 days on / 7 days off)
Compensation: $85K - $110K USD annually (based on experience), $700 monthly allowance, and per diem for days worked
Per Diem: $35/day if lodging provided, $85/day if self-lodged

About the Role:
As a Quality Control Manager, you'll ensure compliance with USACE (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers) standards, manage quality control processes, and oversee environmental compliance. You'll lead efforts to maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental stewardship, ensuring the success of coastal infrastructure and environmental restoration projects across Texas and the Gulf Coast.
What You’ll Do:
- Quality Management: Implement and manage the Contractor's Quality Control (CQC) system, ensuring compliance with USACE standards, project specifications, and contract terms.
- Documentation & Compliance: Oversee the accurate and timely documentation of all project details using the Resident Management System (RMS), ensuring contract compliance.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison with USACE representatives, maintaining clear communication to ensure smooth project execution.
- Safety & Environmental Compliance: Lead efforts to comply with EPA, OSHA, and other relevant regulations throughout the project's lifecycle.
- Project Inspections: Conduct regular on-site inspections to identify and resolve quality control issues, ensuring that projects remain compliant with safety standards and achieve a significant reduction in defects.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement initiatives to improve project quality and efficiency, leading to enhanced project outcomes and sustainability.
Requirements
Who You Are:
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years in marine dredging or marine construction, with at least 3+ years in a quality control role, ideally on USACE-regulated projects.
- Certifications:QC certification required, with CQC certification highly preferred. Additional certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour or HAZWOPER are advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in RMS, AutoCAD, Primavera P6, Procore, or similar project management software.
- TWIC Credential: You must possess or be willing to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) for work in secure maritime environments.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in dredging and 3 years in quality control (QC) within marine or heavy civil construction environments. Certifications: QC Certification required; CQC Certification highly preferred. Skills: Strong knowledge of dredging processes, key equipment, and USACE standards. Attributes: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, effectively lead teams, and manage complex projects. Requirements: Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC). Strong communication skills for effective interaction with co-workers, supervisors, and USACE representatives. Preferred Skills: In-depth knowledge of marine dredging operations. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Physical and Mental Requirements: Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Wear required PPE including hard hats, safety glasses, life vests, respirators, earplugs, steel-toed shoes, and personal flotation devices (PFDs). Engage in physical activities such as walking, climbing, standing, bending, crouching, kneeling, and sitting for extended periods. Lift and carry up to 30 lbs independently and up to 60 lbs with assistance. Push and pull with a peak force of 150 lbs. Work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying outdoor conditions, including exposure to dust, humidity, loud noises, and temperature changes.
