Compensation: $85K - $110K annually, based on experience. $700 monthly allowance and per-diem for days worked

About the Role
As a Quality Control Manager, you’ll ensure our critical marine dredging projects not only meet but exceed U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) standards. You will oversee quality management and documentation, ensuring all project activities align with contract specifications and plans. As the primary point of contact for USACE representatives, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Management: Implement and manage the Contractor’s Quality Control (CQC) system, ensuring all activities meet USACE standards.
- Documentation and Systems: Maintain accurate documentation and manage the Contractor’s Resident Management System (RMS).
- Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for USACE representatives, facilitating clear communication and smooth project execution.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all project activities adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Project Examples:
- Corpus Christi: 4-year dredging project for ship channel deepening
- Gulf Coast Region: Brownsville (LNG Providers)
- Galveston: Houston Ship Channel
- Grand Isle, Louisiana: Beach Job
- San Jacinto River Dredging

Requirements
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Experience with USACE Projects: 3-5 years of quality control experience in marine dredging, with familiarity with USACE standards.
- Certification: QC certification required (CQC certification highly preferred).
- Attention to Detail: Proven ability to manage documentation and compliance efficiently.
- TWIC Preferred: Ability to obtain or currently hold a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with teams and clients.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in dredging and 3 years in quality control (QC) within marine or heavy civil construction environments. Certifications: QC Certification required; CQC Certification highly preferred. Skills: Strong knowledge of dredging processes, key equipment, and USACE standards. Attributes: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, effectively lead teams, and manage complex projects. Requirements: Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC). Strong communication skills for effective interaction with co-workers, supervisors, and USACE representatives. Preferred Skills: In-depth knowledge of marine dredging operations. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Physical and Mental Requirements: Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Wear required PPE including hard hats, safety glasses, life vests, respirators, earplugs, steel-toed shoes, and personal flotation devices (PFDs). Engage in physical activities such as walking, climbing, standing, bending, crouching, kneeling, and sitting for extended periods. Lift and carry up to 30 lbs independently and up to 60 lbs with assistance. Push and pull with a peak force of 150 lbs. Work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying outdoor conditions, including exposure to dust, humidity, loud noises, and temperature changes.
