Skookum is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control and Safety Specialist with a positive attitude. Typical duties include but are not limited to: The position spends time in and out of the office reviewing work, performing quality control surveillance of services discussing quality levels with customers and supervisors, ensuring that all discrepancies are identified and corrected in a timely manner. Perform and document daily inspection results utilizing the inspection program and/or forms, as applicable. Inspection types can include but are not limited to: General maintenance work of the following facility/utility/environmental departments - Structural/Plumbing/Electrical/Transportation/Environmental/Boilers/HVAC/Water-Wastewater/General Services/Pest Control/Fire & Alarm Systems/Aircraft and general Building Maintenance/ etc… IQ construction projects. Quality Specialist will ensure all contract requirements are met. Solicit customer surveys during inspection of predetermined buildings and/or randomly selected completed work orders. Prepare and submit all required reports to each respective division’s chain-of-command daily, weekly, and monthly. Update and maintain assigned quality control folders on the Quality Skynet weekly. Update all pertinent quality control folders on SharePoint daily. Review, update and maintain a listing of building/ facility for area of responsibilities as needed. Establish and maintain excellent relationships in any interactions with customers, employees and management while performing duties. Prepare and submit required and requested reports on time. Ensure all reports are clear, concise, and comprehensive. Monitor and identify problematic trends with customer satisfaction and customer complaints, initiate corrective action plans as required. Utilize solution-based problem solving. Assists the QC Manager in developing a wide variety of employee skills to deliver efficient, effective, and thorough quality control reports. Contract review for standards and specification of work requirements. Cross training in all areas and locations, willingness to learn new contracts and tasks. Conduct inspections of the work environment to ensure safety requirements are met. Will be required to travel to off-site locations for job duties, as well as locations of interest to the company. Participate in new hire training and Quality Control Question and Answer Sessions with the divisions. Adhere to ISO Processes and Standards and ensure all SOPs and ISO processes are meeting contractual guidelines. Ability to perform ISO Audits for both divisional and corporate level processes. Qualifications: Required: Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control. Must have excellent computer skills (Maximo, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel). Preferred: Construction Quality Management for Contractors (U.S. Army Corp of Engineers) or equivalent. OSHA 30 and Six Sigma or other reliability systems. Physical Requirements: Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties. Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required. Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time. Requirements: A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum’s insurance. Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
